Our cake toppers are laser cut, a process which essentially burns the design out of the wood. This may leave a burnt wood smell immediately after cutting. If you would prefer us to air the cake topper for an extra 2-3 days before posting to reduce the smell, please let us know. However, some people enjoy the authentic burnt wood aroma!

Each cake topper is designed with a spike for easy insertion into your cake. We recommend wrapping the spike in foil, and the size of the spike will vary depending on the size of the cake topper.
